Heather Dodd has been selected to be one of the live finalist presentation judges in the 2019 World Architecture Festival ( WAF) to be held in Amsterdam from the 4th to the 6th of December. Now in its 12th year, the festival has attracted over 1000 entries and there will be 534 shortlisted presentations to over the 3-day festival.
In a year in which the ‘Architects Declare’ has been established, a collective of some of the most renowned practices who have come together to announce a state of climate emergency, Heather’s role in judging the category Completed Buildings. Production. Energy and Recycling will be particularly interesting.
Presentations of the shortlisted designs will be made to more than 100 international juries in front of festival delegates. Category winners then compete against each other on the final day of the festival, to compete for the ultimate accolades of World Building of the Year, Future Project of the Year, Interior of the Year and Landscape of the Year.
